Jazzman Records website London, 2003 |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As I was leaving London for Bacelona I took on the redesign of the Jazzman Records website. I had met Gerald during my university years and always loved the music he compiled and traded in. From his beginnings selling compilation tapes of hard or near-impossible to get funk, soul and rare grooves music in Camden Market, his company has grown to be the leader in its field in the UK. I turned straight to his records and other things lying around his office for inspiration and produced the beginnings of a brand image as well as the interface for the site. |

Homepage, with main sections clearly displayed. Most of the content inside was purely listings of records for sale, so the design effort went into image headers (see below). Click to enlarge. |

Trading page. Most of the site's contents are the ever-changing offer of records for sale. Click to enlarge. |
|
Design guidelines. I produced a small guidelines page for their reference. Click to enlarge. |

Main section headers, put together with a mixture of album covers, old 45" boxes and custom graphic elements. |
